Event number 25 – 22nd July 2017

This week 271 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 54 were first timers and 57 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.

Male placings:
Wayne LABUSCHAGNE (SM20-24) (Unattached) was first over the line in 17:59 - third time in 13 appearances.
Jonty MORRISON (JM15-17) of Voortrekker Monument Atletiek Klub, was second over the line in 18:17 - was first to finish once before.
Juandré BARLOW (JM11-14) (Unattached) was third over the line in 19:27.

Female placings:
Dieneke BEUKES (JW10) (Unattached) was first (10th overall) over the line in 22:41 - first time in 13 appearances.
Ame VAN BREDA (JW11-14) (Unattached) was second (13th overall) over the line in 23:09.
Thea-Mari FRANKEN (SW30-34) (Unattached) was third (16th overall) over the line in 24:01.

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Dieneke BEUKES (JW10) – 77.37% for the time 22:41 (10th overall).
Jonty MORRISON (JM15-17) – 76.12% for the time 18:17 (second overall).
Juandré BARLOW (JM11-14) – 74.55% for the time 19:27 (third overall).

The male record is held by Brett VAN STADEN who recorded a time of 17:10 on 1st April 2017 (event number 9).
The female record is held by Nadia POTGIETER who recorded a time of 18:13 on 8th July 2017 (event number 23).
The Age Grade course record is held by Nadia POTGIETER who recorded 87.65% (18:13) on 8th July 2017 (event number 23).

Valhalla parkrun started on 4th February 2017. Since then 3,863 participants have completed 10,362 parkruns covering a total distance of 51,810 km, including 2,475 new Personal Bests.
