Seeking core volunter team members

Hi Greenpoint regulars, with some of core team starting another parkrun, others heading overseas or unavailable due to Saturday work, our core team has become depleted and needs to be restocked quickly.
We are looking for at least 4 people to come on board the core team and make a commitment to be the Run Director on a 1 Saturday every 6-8 weeks basis. Being Run Director means being medium technically competent, understanding all the tasks (scanners, stopwatches and results processing), briefing volunteers, executing a run and would involve using your laptop and your car to bring equipment. In terms of time, being Run Director for a week requires about 8 hours, 4 hours on a Saturday morning and 4 hours in the week prior in preparation. Full training is provided, the formula works every week at over 800 locations worldwide and is as simple as reasonably possible. If you are interested and are prepared to make a commitment for 1 Saturday every 6-8 weeks over a minimum of a 6 month period, email greenpointoffice@parkrun.com
If people you know want to get free structured experience in event management, this is ideal on the job training in a real recognized event. The role can be expanded to include social media, 1st aid and more.
