Fish Hoek parkrun #212 – 6 January 2018

This week 368 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 40 were first timers and 32 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 16 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Holly PAGE who recorded a time of 19:35 on 10th December 2016 (event number 154).
The male record is held by Phumlani SHABALALA who recorded a time of 16:58 on 6th May 2017 (event number 176).
The Age Grade course record is held by Brenda FITZGERALD who recorded 85.39% (23:03) on 9th May 2015 (event number 71).

Fish Hoek parkrun started on 21st December 2013. Since then 5,410 participants have completed 39,266 parkruns covering a total distance of 196,330 km, including 7,618 new Personal Bests.

 

Event number 209 – 25th December 2017

Merry Christmas everyone,

This morning 115 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers / vistors from as far away as Australia, and England. We had 10 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 20 different clubs took part.

We've reached the magic 200 mark! Well done Fish Hoek parkrun for reaching 200 parkruns.

This week 338 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 50 were first timers and 46 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 22 different clubs took part.

Male placings:
Loveday BANDE (JM15-17) (Unattached) was first over the line in 20:08 - 22nd time in 76 appearances.
Joshua SUNDERLAND (JM15-17) (Unattached) was second over the line in 20:17.
Clayton BOOYSEN (VM35-39) (Unattached) was third over the line in 20:41 - has been first to finish on 52 previous occasions.

Female placings:
Ursula GROBLER (VW35-39) of Tuks Alumni RR, was first (27th overall) over the line in 24:30 - first appearance.
Natasha HASLAM (VW40-44) of IDC Running Club, was second (28th overall) over the line in 24:34.
Jo-Anne LAURENCE (SW25-29) (Unattached) was third (29th overall) over the line in 24:34.

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
David WHEELER (VM65-69) – 71.68% for the time 23:50 (21st overall).
Loveday BANDE (JM15-17) – 69.12% for the time 20:08 (first overall).
Jillian ALTERN (VW55-59) – 69.00% for the time 26:14 (42nd overall).
